Just off highway 154, in the Santa Ynez Valley, in the county of Santa Barbara, there is a small well known federally-sanctioned American Viticultural Area (AVA) named Happy Canyon. The road that winds through this land is littered with champion horse ranches, vineyards upon vineyards, huge horned cows and the quintessential oaks trees that are known in this region.
