Collection: Sunset Surfers

For months I had been going to local beaches and shooting the sunsets (Hendry's, Leadbetter, Butterfly, Hammond's, Campus Point etc). Sometimes up to my knees in the winter surf, sometimes down on all fours in the wet sand, waiting for the perfect shot. Then a person or people, also enjoying the light and the color, would walk into my shot. I started putting all these shots in a folder called "frickinPpl." 
A year later I opened that folder and found gold. I was inspired by what each person may have been experiencing and was compelled to create this series.
