In the skies above Santa Barbara on Veteran's Day, I was fortunate enough to be one of the photographers who got to fly in a WWII B-25 bomber, in the nose gunner seat. It was an amazing experience.
We departed from Camarillo Airport with Tiger Squadron, a variety of WWII dog-fighting planes (such as the Nanchang CJ-6) that travel all over the country giving demonstrations and paying tribute. We went out over the ocean and slowly made our way up the coast to Santa Barbara for the Veteran's Day Parade. I was able to go up for another flight, a month later, in one of the Tiger Squadron planes (Nanchang CJ-6).
These experiences had a direct effect on my brain/mind/imagination and can be seen in these pieces.
