30 miles north of Santa Barbara, CA is the Santa Ynez Valley (SYV). The SYV is made up of several little towns including the little Danish town of Solvang. Founded in 1911 by a group of Danes said to be escaping the winters of their homeland. The main street has brick sidewalks and is lined with trees. There are several windmills throughout the town along with many architectural nods to Copenhagen including a scaled down version of the Round Tower or Rundetårn.
