The Santa Ynez Valley (SYV), located just 40 miles north of Santa Barbara, is made up of several small towns including Buellton, Solvang, Santa Ynez, Ballard, Los Alamos and Los Olivos. (The movie "Sideways" and the production of world class wines has saddled the area with international popularity.)
Industrial Way in Buellton is fast becoming known as a Mecca for food and drink. Wine, beer and spirit production facilities have sprouted tasting rooms: Alma Rosa, Margerum, Tiera y Vino, Figueroa Mountain to name a few. Along with thirst quenching activities, one's appetite can be satiated by owners Jeff and Janet Olsson's award winning flavors and unique dining experience at INDUSTRIAL EATS. The buzz surrounding this establishment does not fade. Maybe it's because of their personal relationships with diners, local farmers, hunters and gatherers. Or maybe their popularity comes directly from their inventive flavor profiles or from the fact that everything is cooked in two ginormous wood fire "pizza ovens," or is it the BIG ASS fans, the communal dining, the meat, the murals out front or the butchery classes hosted in their event space called, "The Grand Room."
In December of 2017 I was commissioned by Jeff & Janet to paint a mural on the outside of the Grand Room and the outside of what will become the final expansion of their industrial complex. Normally I do a simple sketch before I begin a mural but this time my vision was so specific I ended up creating this piece as the proposal for the mural. I showed it to them and they loved it. The only input they had was a query concerning the addition of their two dogs which I happily added. The idea was that since the building hid the secret of all the magic that takes place inside, was to bring the inside, out.

These premium quality, hand signed and numbered archival limited edition prints all begin with a pen an ink drawing an are unframed.
