Ballard is the smallest and oldest community in the Santa Ynez Valley. Ballard was founded in 1880 at the location of a Wells Fargo stage line station. The Ballard Inn is a bed and breakfast that has an amazing dining experience called The Gathering Table with Chef Budi Kazali (Asian/French cuisine).
The Ballard School House (1882) is just down the road and is where I have spent many a Thanksgiving day with friends and family feasting al fresco and enjoying the leaves changing color.
